Discovering Da Nang: From JUAN’s Perspective

Back in May, I was grateful to travel to Da Nang with no expectations, just a wanderer with an open mind. It is definitely a city where natural beauty meets modernity. Known for its golden beaches, vibrant culture, and breathtaking architecture, Da Nang, as we speak, is currently one of the top travel destinations to date.  Among its many highlights, Ba Na Hills and the world-renowned Golden Bridge stand out as must-see attractions.

The Iconic Golden Bridge

The Golden Bridge is one of Da Nang’s most recognizable landmarks. A pedestrian walkway in the Truong Son Mountains and designed to look as though it is cradled by two massive stone hands, the bridge offers visitors magnificent views of the lush landscape below. Walking across this majestic bridge feels surreal, guided by the foggy clouds. Stepping foot, you won’t lose sight of the misty mountains and making it perfect for photographers especially for your next Instagram post.

A Fairytale World that is Ba Na Hills

My first impression of Ba Na Hills is this fairy tale world meets Europe. You are definitely seeing the European-inspired fantasy in terms of its architectures. What I learned about this theme park is that it holds the heart and soul of Da Nang. It features cobblestone streets, majestic castles, and enchanted towers that seem it came out of a fairytale book. The architecture is striking contrast to the surrounding Vietnamese countryside, creating a magical and unexpected experience. Since it is high up the cool mountains, we travelled by cable car. I had to admit it confirmed my alleged fear of heights.

For all you Pop Mart enthusiasts, they have their very own Pop Mart store here in Ba Na Hills. You are going home with fantastic views and 10 new blind boxes, what more can you ask for!

My Son Sanctuary

Tucked away in the lush jungles of Quang Nam Province, about an hour’s drive from both Da Nang and Hoi An, My Son Sanctuary stands as one of Vietnam’s most important archaeological and cultural treasures.

Hoi An Night Market

I was able to explore the night life and lively streets of Hoi An with sights of the colorful lanterns, coconut basket boats, and a wide variety of local goods and street food. Plan your next destination here and hope you get to experience the heart and soul of Da Nang.
